Welcome to the online project,
"Observation of my Habitation"

Hosted by: Meadowbrook Kindergarten Stars, Northbrook, Illinois
Dates: August 1, 2009 - June 1, 2010
Ages: PreK - Sixth Grade Students Worldwide
Objective: This project was designed to capture a monthly picture of the view from your classroom window throughout the 2009-2010 school year and observe how the habitat outside changes. Participating classrooms will have the opportunity to describe the changes viewed through writing photo bylines or voice thread scripts. This project is largely based on the Room With A View project designed by Jen Wagner.
Technology Objective: To have teachers and their students learn to capture, describe and share by uploading their findings to an online venue in order to showcase their work.
To register for this project, click here and complete the Google Form.
In order to participate you will have two options; 1) Post your photos to a page in this Observation of my Habitation wiki OR 2) Post your photos to your own wiki or website and send Deb your link so we may share your phots and bylines.
Project Steps:
1. Students (with teacher's help) will take a picture from a classroom window ONCE A MONTH.
2. Students (with teacher's direction) will upload the picture to your choice of sharing options as stated above, with a description of what they have observed. The description should include date, time of day, weather and temperature and anything else you wish to share.
3. If you choose "sharing option 2" please email the WEBSITE LINK of your project to Deb. She will add the link to this Observation of my Habitation wiki!
4. Once you have sent your link, you will added to the WIKI and wil be able to leave comments to other classrooms and also make comments and/or add suggestion to the project.
5. An email reminder will be sent out once a month during the project.

This sounds like it will make quite a slideshow of life as we know it. I can't wait to see it develop.
